Yard Debris Burning Requirements

2025 BURNING PERMIT REQUIRED

ALWAYS Call 541-410-5077 before you burn. Leave you name and permit number after the tone.

Burn in small 4-feet x 4-feet piles:
▪▪ Clear all flammable material and vegetation within 10-feet of the outer edge of pile. Cleared to mineral soil or gravel.
▪▪ Burn piles shall not be within 25 foot of any building structure or property line.
▪▪ Keep a water supply close to the burning site.
▪▪ An adult should be in attendance with a shovel until the fire is out.
▪▪ Make sure that your fire is out - DEAD OUT - Drown! Stir! Drown! Burning closes at 12noon, Dead out by 1:00PM
▪▪ No burning shall be undertaken unless weather conditions (particularly wind) are such that burning can be considered safe.
▪▪ Monitor for a minimum of 2 hours once it is burned down.

Permit is not valid for fires larger than 10' in diameter.
Debris Burning Requirements

* Warming Camp Fires allowed. See permit for size requirements.

* Burn Barrels allowed.

* NO BRUSH BURNING AFTER 12 NOON OR ON BREAZY OR WINDY DAYS or forecasted windy conditions. It is advised to burn brush in morning hours before afternoon winds pick up.

* Never leave a fire unattended.

PROHIBTED FIRE ACTIVITES INCLUDE:

 •  FIREWORKS

 •  BURNING OF AUTOS & TIRES. 

•  STRUCTURE BURNING * INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO

TRAILIER'S, CAMPERS, RV'S, AND ANY BUILDING. 

•  OPEN FIELD BURNING, GRASS AREAS & BRUSH AREAS.

 • WOOD STOVES & OTHER WOOD APPLIANCES FOR ENCLOSED FIRE'S:

  • A) USED FOR HEATING A HOME ARE ALLOWED
  • B) USED OUTSIDE AS A COOKING SOURCE OR AS A HEAT SOURCE ARE NOT ALLOWED WHEN OPEN BURNING RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT.

You are required to call 541-410-5077 daily for current fire restrictions
