the Fire Dept

* OUTDOOR BURNING OF YARD DEBRIS AND YARD MATERIALS IS PROHIBITED.
* BURN BARRELS ARE PROHIBITED ON BREEZY OR WINDY DAYS. Prohibited while gusts are 10MPH or greater.Current Conditions
* RECREATIONAL WARMING FIRES / CAMPFIRES MUST BE 3 FEET IN DIAMETER OR LESS AND 2 FEET IN HEIGHT OR LESS, 25' FROM STRUCTURES AND 10' FROM COMBUSTIBLE FUELS.
* NEVER LEAVE ANY FIRE UNATTENDED. THIS INCLUDES BURN BARRELS.
* A CURRENT OUTDOOR BURN PERMIT WILL BE REQUIRED AT ALL OPEN OUTDOOR FIRE LOCATION THIS INCULDES CAMPFIRES, BURN BARELLS, PROPANE DEVICES, AND ANY OTHER OPEN FIRE. PERMITS EXPIRE OCTOBER 31st EACH YEAR. YOU MAY RENEW ONLINE OR OBTAIN A PERMIT AT THE DISTRICT OFFICE ON OR AFTER NOVEMBER 1ST.
* BURNING PERMITS, ARE AVAILABLE AT THE LAKE CHINOOK FIRE & RESCUE STATION BY CONTACTING THE FIRE DISTRICT AT 541-629-8911 FOR AN APPOINTMENT OR EMAIL PERMITS@LAKECHINOOKFIREANDRESCUE.ORG.
PROHIBTED FIRE ACTIVITES INCLUDE:
FIREWORKS
BURNING OF AUTOS & TIRES.
STRUCTURE BURNING
- INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TRAILIER'S, CAMPERS, RV'S, AND ANY BUILDING.
OPEN FIELD BURNING / DEBRIS BURNING
* GRASS AREAS & BRUSH AREAS.
WOOD STOVES & OTHER WOOD APPLIANCES FOR ENCLOSED FIRE'S:
- A) USED FOR HEATING A HOME ARE ALLOWED
- B) USED OUTSIDE AS A COOKING SOURCE OR AS A HEAT SOURCE ARE NOT ALLOWED WHEN OPEN BURNING RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT.
You are required to call 541-410-5077 daily for current fire restrictions
